Raju Hirani helms SRK for an ad

Mumbai: It’s a dream come true for Raju Hirani, who recently directed an ad featuring Shah Rukh Khan. Reportedly, the ‘Munnabhai’ and ‘3 Idiots’ director has always wanted to work with Shah Rukh. The actor remained the first choice for the lead roles of Hirani’s films, but the unison somehow did not materialise. Apparently, Raju got a chance to direct Shah Rukh finally after a long time. Sources confirm that Hirani directed SRK for a fairness cream ad. This is the first time they worked together and each came with huge respect and admiration for the other. The ad shot at Filmistan studio in Mumbai goes on air in the coming weeks. Interestingly, this isn’t Hirani first commercial. Earlier, he`s shot ads with Amitabh and Kareena. Initially, Raju wasn`t too sure if it was something he wanted to do but has now started enjoying shooting ads in-between his films. To head start his commercial work, Hirani has started a new division under the banner of Canvas Films Well, going by Hirani’s success rate, the man is sure to give shudders to existing big names of the ad world. Though, no one is complaining!
