Mumbai: Actor Vivek Oberoi, who is entering TV with his first show "India`s Biggest Dramebaaz" (IBD), says making his small screen debut with Zee TV`s show is an emotional moment for him as his father had also made his television debut with the same channel.
"For me, it was a really emotional thing because my dad (actor Suresh Oberoi) made his television debut with `Dastaan` on Zee and now I am making my television debut with IBD on Zee," the 36-year-old said here Wednesday at the launch of the show. Later, Suresh also hosted Zee TV`s show "Jeena Isi Ka Naam Hai". Vivek will be seen as a judge on the show along with actress Sonali Bendre and filmmaker Anurag Basu. The actor, who recently became a father, says he "accidentally" became part of the show. "I was at the Zee office and we (the actor and Ajay Bhalwankar, content head, Zee TV)were talking something about films and he started telling me about the show and I said wow, what an incredible concept, you guys are going to explore the young talent," Vivek said. "I love watching kids. I think kids are the most entertaining, naturally watchable performers. So the minute he told me about the show, I said I would like to be a part of it. Then it just all fell into place and I have loved every minute of it," he added. "India`s Biggest Dramebaaz" goes on air Feb 23 and will be hosted by TV actors Rithvik Dhanjani and Ragini Khanna. IANS
