Mumbai: Director Ang Lee, who is awaiting release of Billy Lynn`s Long Halftime Walk, says technology helps in portraying human stories and feelings on the big screen.
Directed by Lee, "Billy Lynn`s Long Halftime Walk" is based on a novel by Ben Fountain.
The drama is set in Iraq and the US, and is told from the perspective of a 19-year-old private Billy Lynn (played by Joe Alwyn), who gets famous after a video capturing his rescue of a comrade in Iraq went viral.
The film puts spotlight on the celebrations to honour the war heroes, and what really happened in the field. The Sony Pictures Entertainment film will release in India on November 11.
Lee feels the "film is always a therapy as you watch someone else`s story".
"I think now you get a chance to step into it and all in all story telling is how we feel about each other, how we relate to each other, how we share our feelings. I think that`s the essence, it doesn`t matter what media you are doing," he added.
