According to a report in ANI, which originally attributes to DNA, 'Sultan' helmer Ali Abbas Zafar nearly hunted for 3 months to finalise the female lead of the movie.
In conversation with DNA, the director credited his 'gut feeling' for opting Anushka to essay the role of 'Arfa'.
Report further reveals how Parineeti fir in because of her body type, but we see, Ali could not neglect his gut feeling.
"At the end of the day, as a director you can only go by your gut and instinct. And I went with that," the director said.
"The way she has pulled through... In the film, when she fights international tournaments, she is very good," he added.
Also starring the talented Randeep Hooda and Amit Sadh, 'Sultan' is all set to hit the silver screens this Eid.
