James Cameron giving 'Avatar' scripts the final touch

Los Angeles: Filmmaker James Cameron says that he is currently "doing another pass of the "Avatar" scripts.

The 61-year-old Oscar-winning director, says that the characters and the film's setting is pretty much clear now, reported Entertainment Weekly.

"I'm in the process of doing another pass through all three scripts right now. Just refining. That's in parallel with the design process. The design process is very mature at
this point.

"We've been designing for about a year and a half. All the characters, settings and creatures are all pretty much (set)," Cameron said.

"Avatar 2" is set for a December 2017 release and the helmer says they will have to give their best shot.

"Obviously, expectations are going to be very high on these films. Especially on 'Avatar 2,' to make sure it wasn't just some big fluke the first time. So we've got to deliver,"
he said.

The film will also be the first directorial outing for Cameron since the massive success of the first movie.
