Missy Elliott to headlining Bestival 2015

London: Bestival goers should prepare to get treated by Missy Elliott, who has been announced as Sunday's headliner.

The rapper will close the festival this September in what will mark her first UK show in nine years.

"I'm very excited to be performing at Bestival this year!" said Elliott.

"I can't wait to see all my fans I haven't seen in some time new ones and my day one fans! We are gonna have a blast together! Bring your dancing outfits and kicks!" Elliott's appearance at the event is being billed as a European festival exclusive.

Bestival organiser Rob da Bank added: "Needing no introduction Missy is the epitome of hip-hop royalty, the first lady of party-starting club bangers and a downright legend.
"I cannot wait to watch the most successful female rap artist ever to Work It at Bestival 2015!"

Elliott joins an eclectic line-up including The Chemical Brothers, Underworld and Duran Duran.

The rapper made a high-profile comeback during Katy Perry's halftime Super Bowl show back in February and has racked up five Grammy Awards, a double platinum album and four platinum albums.
