Here’s some good news for `Kolaveri Di` fans

Mumbai: With over 5,842,596 YouTube hits, Dhanush’s `Kolaveri Di` song has fans increasing every single second. The sensational number that has become a nationwide rage and the latest youth anthem of sorts will now be released in an album. In less than a fortnight post it’s uploading on YouTube, Dhanush`s debut song struck a chord with music lovers across the nation and has many from abroad grooving to its desi beats. The song will be a part of the original sound track of Aishwarya Rajinikanth’s directorial debut film `3`. Talking to a daily, Shridhar Subramaniam, president of Sony Music India and the Middle East said, “We are launching the album (OST of 3) on December 12 and also working on a few variations and club mixes to make the song more accessible for the party season.” First time music composer Anirudh couldn’t have dreamt of a better launch, as the song written and sung by Dhanush has made his composition viral. The makers are also panning a female version of the song for all the `soup` people! “Suddenly, everyone has realised Tamil music is good, so we’re taking `Kolaveri…` and some massively popular tracks, including `Ringa Ringa…` (track that inspired `Dhinka Chika…` from `Ready`) and putting them together in an album titled, Simply South.” The CD will be available at a nominal price of Rs 199.
