Jay Sean named artist of the decade

London: Singer Jay Sean walked away with the trophy of the British Artist of the Decade at the recently held Asian Music Awards.

The Indian-origin British singer was also awarded the Best Male artist, however, he was unable to attend the event as he is on tour in Australia, reports a website. Other big winners included rapper M.I.A., who won Best Video for her "Bad Girls" promo, and singer/actress Preeya Kalidas, who was named Best Female artist. IANS
