Couple claims Dhanush as biological son; actor asked to appear before court

New Delhi: Popular south-Indian actor Dhanush has landed in a legal mess for totally unexpected reasons. The 33-year-old star has reportedly been summoned by a court and directed to appear before it on January 12 next year.

According to a Deccan Chronicle report, it all began when an elderly couple filed a petition in the Judicial Magistrate Court in Melur questioning Dhanush's birth roots. The duo has alleged that the 'Kolaveri Di' sensation is their son and he was born to them on November 7, 1985 as `Kaliselvan’.

The report also states that the couple has also managed to present a birth certificate and childhood photographs 'Dhanush' before the magistrate.

It is being said that Dhanush escaped from their custody when he was in 11th standard to fulfil a career in the showbiz arena. 

The duo is also claiming that he later changed his name and, hence, they are expecting a monthly maintenance of Rs 65,000 from Dhanush.
