Mumbai: Bollywood hunk Salman Khan is all set to woo his Maharashtrian fans by doing a Marathi film. The industry heavyweight has reportedly shot for the film in Hyderabad.
The movie in question – ‘Lai Bhaari’ - has Riteish Deshmukh essaying the lead role. Salman has a special appearance in the film. Nishikant Kamat, who had directed John Abraham in ‘Force’ has confirmed Salman’s role in the film which is slated to release this December.
Surprisingly, Salman has no Hindi films releasing this year. His next, tentatively titled ‘Mental’ is scheduled to release in 2014.
However, the actor will make an appearance on the small screen soon with the seventh edition of controversial TV reality show ‘Bigg Boss’.
‘Lai Bhaari’ will be Salman's first regional film in a career spanning over two decades.
