New Delhi: It's time of the year when the lights will go off to support the world's biggest environment event – the Earth Hour.

The year 2017 makes the 10th anniversary of Earth Hour and millions of people worldwide will exihibit their love for planet Earth by switching off their lights at 8:30 pm for an hour.

The sole motive that this event carries is to unite people from all walks of the life to protect the planet.

Organised by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), it initially started as a lights-off event in Sydney, Australia in the year 2007.

All of us desire a healthy life for our future generation and something as small as shutting lights for an hour can make a big impact.
