Gandhinagar: In a horrific incident, two teen sisters were allegedly gang-raped by six men in a moving car in front of their father in Gujarat's Dahod, about 200 km from Ahmedabad on Wednesday.
Acting swiftly in the case, the Gujarat Police have arrested five men and launched a hunt for the sixth accused.
According to the police, the alleged attackers gang-raped the sisters as they wanted to 'punish' their family for filing a complaint against one of them for selling liquor, reported NDTV.
The girls' brother had earlier filed a police complaint after which a man called Kumat Baria was arrested for allegedly selling liquor to him, which is prohibited in Gujarat.
The police is also looking out for seven more people who have played a role in kidnapping of the girls.
On Wednesday morning, Baria and about a dozen of his accomplices drove up on motorcycles and an SUV at the village shop that the girls'' father runs.
They allegedly dragged the girls and their father into the SUV, and drove away.
Afer driving for about 25 km, six men then allegedly took turns to rape the girls, before pushing them and the father out of the car.
The Dahod Police have registered a case of gang-rape and abduction and also a case under Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, a special law enacted in 2012 to protect children from sexual offenders.
