New Delhi: Bollywood diva Deepika Padukone made her smashing international debut with Vin Diesel starrer 'xXx: The Return Of Xander Cage' early this year. The actress gained global recognition and since then she has been spotted attending various fashion shows and big events internationally.

Just like Priyank Chopra, Deepika too has been invited by the Academy this year to be a part of the Academy of Motion Picture of Arts & Sciences (AMPAS). The tall and talented Dippy took to Twitter and expressed her gratitude over it. She wrote:

AMPAS invited a record 774 new members from 57 countries across the globe to join the organisation's ranks. Other Bollywood celebrities who too have been invited include megastar Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Irrfan Khan, filmmakers Goutam Ghose and Buddhadeb Dasgupta.
