Paul McCartney bans meat from tour

London: Rock legend Sir Paul McCartney has banned meat from his latest tour, forcing all his crew members to eat vegetarian meals.

The Beatles star is taking his `Up and Coming Tour` through the US, South America and Europe and the staunch animal rights activist has made sure that all his employees give up meat for the duration of the outing, reported a news daily. "We will serve some 480 vegetarian meals a day to keep the crew going," said a spokesman for the veteran rocker. Following in McCartney`s footsteps, British singer Leona Lewis is also making efforts to make her upcoming tour meat-free. The X-Factor winner has removed animal products from the menu when she hits the road in May this year. PTI
