`Joker` to release Aug 31 next year

New Delhi: Director Shirish Kunder`s "Joker", starring Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha, will hit cinemas worldwide Aug 30, 2012.

Production company UTV Motion Pictures announced the release date through a press statement, issued Wednesday. The comedy film features Akshay as a character who return to his hometown -- a place that`s so remote and crazy that it`s not even on the map. What follows, puts the little town not just on the country`s map, but makes it the focus of the entire globe. The story also involves aliens in the 3D comedy movie. IANS
