Cheryl Cole set to take on her solo career

Singer Cheryl Cole is set to work on a solo career while her band `Girls Aloud` takes a break in 2009, band`s spokesman confirmed.

London, April 28: Singer Cheryl Cole is set to work on a solo career while her band `Girls Aloud` takes a break in 2009, band`s spokesman confirmed. Rumours were abuzz that the 25-year-old singer would capitalise on her fame following a stint as a judge on `The X Factor` and now a confirmation about Cole`s plans for a debut solo album has come from a `Girls Aloud` spokesperson, the Contactmusic reported.
"Cheryl is going to work on some solo music. There is no release date set for this yet as she has not recorded any music," the spokesperson confirmed. The announcement follows a post from British electropop musician, Frankmusik on Twitter, which read: "I am producing Cheryl Cole`s solo album." However the spokesman refrained from divulging any details about the album`s producer. "Her A&R people have approached various producers with the view to working with her. Until she has recorded music, we can`t say who will be working on the record as we can`t say at this stage what will make it past the idea stage," he added. While Cole works on her solo album, `Girls Aloud` are to "take time out" to concentrate on projects ranging from "music to acting to beauty to fashion", the spokesman said. The spokesman also confirmed that Cole going solo would not affect the band`s future as the members are under a contract to produce three albums together, one will be out in 2010. Bureau Report
