Preview: Shiney and Esha get set to ‘Hijack’ the audiences

Mumbai, Sept 05: After weeks of duds at the BO, with films crashing setting the lowest sales records, Farhan Akhtar’s ‘Rock On’ gave the much needed boost to get the audiences back into the theatres. And with three Bollywood flicks hitting cinema screens today, here’s hoping that the success story continues. ‘Tahaan’, ‘A Wednesday’ and ‘Hijack’ are the three flicks opening this weekend hoping to make it big sans big stars. While 'Tahaan' and 'A Wednesday' find themselves in a league non commercial, Shiney and Esha starrer ‘Hijack’ is your ticket to some fast paced masala action. With neither of the stars boasting of a massive fan following, the story of the film holds massive potential for some good cinema. So here’s a sneak peek at what this film is all about: Going by the very title of the film ‘Hijack’, the movie revolves around the drama that unfolds in mid air as the Amritsar to Delhi flight is hijacked. What gets the hero of the film Vikram Madan (Shiney Ahuja) involved is his daughter who is on the flight. With the terrorist warning of dire consequences if the demand of their leader being released is not met, Shiney steps up to the task. Madan, who is a ground maintenance officer at the Chandigarh airport pounces on the opportunity to sneak into the plane when the flight is forced to make an emergency landing on the said airport. For Esha’s part, she plays an airhostess, who takes down one terrorist after the other and in the end helps Shiney to reunite with his daughter.
