Rihanna dedicates summer collection to crew, loyal fans

London: Pop star Rihanna says her second collection for designer store River Island is dedicated to her crew and loyal followers.

The "Stay" hitmaker is ready to launch a new summer line for the high street store later this month and has designed the pieces with her loyal followers in mind, aiming to cater to their various needs. "I made a piece for everybody in my crew, we all have different body types and different tastes - some are braver than others," femalefirst.co.uk quoted Rihanna as saying. "I think like that because that`s how women in the world are. We`re all different, we like different things, we have different occasions and different moods," she said. The 25-year-old also made sure the range reflects her own personal taste in clothes. Her range offers floral and tie-dye jumpsuits, simple dresses in black and pink and elegant crop tops. She said: "I just wanted stuff that I wanted to wear because at the end of the day that`s what got me into designing - seeing things on the rack that were great, but that could have been a little more me. Maybe they could have been a little longer or shorter, or have a little more sex appeal or a little less. I wanted to make clothes for fat days - stuff that I want to wear. I was being selfish." "Hopefully, my friends and people who shop at River Island will have the same taste," she added. The range will be available in stores from May 25. IANS
