Unwavering Ambition, IAS Abhilasha Abhinav's Journey And Success Strategy In UPSC IAS Abhilasha Abhinav

New Delhi: The UPSC Civil Services Examination stands as a formidable hurdle for countless aspirants across India, drawing in millions who dream of donning the prestigious titles of IRS, IPS, and IAS officers.

As they embark on the arduous journey to conquer this daunting exam, aspirants often seek solace and inspiration in the tales of triumph woven by those who have gone before them. Among these narratives of resilience and success shines the story of Abhilasha Abhinav, an IAS officer from the Telangana cadre, whose remarkable achievement secured her an All India Rank (AIR) 18 in the 2017 examination.

Hailing from the vibrant city of Patna, Abhilasha's path to becoming an IAS officer was riddled with challenges, the most formidable of which was persuading her family to prioritize clearing the Civil Services Examination over marriage. Despite demonstrating exceptional academic prowess and sporting talents during her schooling in Patna, Abhilasha opted to pursue a B.Tech degree at A.S. College in Maharashtra.

Following her stellar performance with an impressive 84 percent in the 12th grade, Abhilasha embarked on a professional journey but continued to toil away, balancing her job responsibilities with rigorous preparations for the UPSC examinations. Her initial attempt in 2014 ended in disappointment as she fell short of clearing the Preliminary stage, prompting her to redirect her focus towards comprehensive preparation rather than rushing into another attempt the following year.

In her subsequent endeavor in 2016, Abhilasha clinched a commendable rank of 308, earning her a coveted position in the IRS service. Undeterred by this achievement, she set her sights higher and, in her UPSC 2017 attempt, soared to the 18th rank, thereby realizing her long-cherished dream of ascending to the esteemed position of an IAS officer.

Navigating the demanding terrain of preparing for the UPSC examination while juggling professional commitments, Abhilasha underscores the paramount importance of effective time management. She advises aspirants to commence their preparations early, meticulously focusing on every stage of the examination - Prelims, Mains, and Interview - while drawing inspiration and insights from the experiences shared by successful candidates.

When it comes to interview preparation, Abhilasha advocates for thorough readiness and encourages aspirants to capitalize on weekends and spare moments during office hours for dedicated study sessions. She underscores the transformative power of technology, suggesting the utilization of mobile-based learning tools during commutes. Above all, Abhilasha emphasizes the intrinsic value of personal commitment, urging aspirants to remain steadfast in their pursuit of excellence and to prioritize their aspirations over external opinions, thereby paving the way for the realization of their dreams.
