Five terrorists killed in encounter with security forces in J&K's Kulgam

Srinagar: Five terrorists have been gunned down in an encounter with the security forces in Jammu and Kashmir's Kulgam district. Weapons and warlike stores have been recovered from their possession.

The encounter broke out earlier in the day in Kulgam's Kellam Devsar area.

The bodies of the five terrorists killed have been recovered, however, their identities are yet to be ascertained.

Meanwhile, heavy stone pelting has been reported from the area. Four CRPF personnel have also sustained injuries.

"On the basis of specific inputs security forces cordoned the area. During the exchange of fire, five terrorists were killed, arms and ammunition have been recovered. There has been no collateral damage and the encounter site has been cleared," SP Pani, IG Kashmir said.
