Srinagar: Pakistan on Monday violated ceasefire along the Line of Control (LoC) in Shahpur and Kerni sectors in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir. The ceasefire violation was reported at about 7:45 am.

Pakistani Rangers violated ceasefire by resorting to shelling with mortars and firing of small arms.

The violation of ceasefire has left a person injured. He has been moved to the hospital.

The Indian Army is efficiently retaliating.

"Heavy firing underway in Poonch along the LoC since 8 am, one person injured and moved to the hospital," Mohammad Rafiq, Jammu and Kashmir Police, said.
