'Cyanide' Mallika, Sasikala's dangerous neighbour in Bengaluru prison, shifted

'Cyanide' Mallika, a convicted serial killer who was lodged in a cell next to the one in which AIADMK leader VK Sasikala has been put in Parappana Agrahara central prison, has now been shifted, reports said on Wednesday.

A Times of India report said that 'Cyanide' Mallika, the infamous woman who is serving a life term for having killed six women, was shifted to Hindalga prison in Belagavi, north Karnataka, early this week. 

'Cyanide Mallika' aka KD Kempamma was shifted by the prison authorities in the wake of media reports that she posed a threat to Sasikala's life as her cell was very close to the AIADMK leader's cell. 

Reports said that Mallika was shifted due to security reasons and was not informed about the move.

Mallika is said to be a huge fan of late AIADMK chief J Jayalalithaa and was desperate to meet her during her 2014 prison term. 

Interestingly, the AIADMK leader too shared a cordial relationship with 'Cyanide Mallika.' 

The report quoted jail authorities as saying that Mallika used to help Sasikala by bringing food for her in the prison. 

As prisoner no 9234, Sasikala shares 10 feet by 8 feet cell, with a bathroom separated by a wall, with her sister-in-law Illavarasi in Parappana Agrahara central prison.

'Cyanide' Mallika was arrested in 2008. She used to identify rich women visiting Bengaluru temples, befriended them and killed them using cyanide before decamping with their jewellery.
