Read to believe - Nokia 301 phone stops a bullet, saves a man's life

New Delhi: Nokia phones once ruled the mobile world thanks to their tough and strong build that could withstand almost any falls. Indestructible in many ways, they were loved by the people for reasons beyond one could explain.

So solid and compact were they, Nokia phones even became a part of various jokes.

And it is thanks to this solid built that a Nokia phone has reportedly taken a bullet and saved the life of a man. You heard and read it right – bullet shot from a gun.

According to various reports, a Nokia 301 phone took a bullet and saved the life of a man in Afghanistan.

The news first came when Peter Skillman, the General Manager of Core Ux for Windows Desktop, Tablet and Phone at Microsoft tweeted a picture of Nokia 301 with a bullet still intact in it. He also wrote with it “A Nokia phone I worked on a few years ago saved the life of a man in Afghanistan last week. The embedded bullet....”

Though it is not mentioned nor clear who's life the Nokia phone saved, the story has gone viral followed by memes as usual.

But what is interesting is that many mobile phones have been reported to have acted as bulletproof in the past, saving the lives of their owners. These mobiles include Lumia 520, Huawei P8 Lite, iPhone 5c, HTC Evo 3D, etc.
