New Delhi: Your dream to get an affordable 4G phone is soon going to come true. As per a newspaper report a Chinese mobile chip maker is working on this.
A report in the Economic Times said that the Chinese company called Spreadtrum Communications “is working on reducing starting prices by at least half from the current levels”.
The ET, quoting Spreadtrum Communications' country head Neeraj Sharma said, that the company is working on a technology that makes a Rs 1,500 4G feature phone viable. It has “already started concept promotions” to its partners, the ET said.
Spreadtrum Communications, which is in a two-year old partnership with Reliance Industries, powered its affordable LYF Flame 5 smartphone.
It has also powered Lava M14G-enabled feature phone.
