Girl burned to death, 90 houses gutted in fire

Bhagalpur: A girl was burnt to death and
90 houses were gutted as a fire broke out on Sunday at Budhghychak
village in Bihar`s Bhagalpur district, a police official said.

The fire broke out due to sparking from kitchen from
the house of Pappu Mandal and soon spread to adjoining houses,
the Superintendent of Police (SP) Vivek Kumar said.

At least 90 houses, all thatched, were gutted in the
fire, Kumar said.

The district administration has started distribution
of relief materials among the affected, the SP said.
