New Delhi: Home Minister Rajnath Singh may soon visit Sukma, one of the worst Naxal-affected districts in Chhattisgarh.

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh Monday met the Home Minister here and invited him to inaugurate newly established 'fortified police station' in Sukma.

The Union minister accepted Singh's invitation and lauded his government's efforts in the field of development and security in naxal-affected districts in Bastar region, a release issued by Chhattisgarh government said.

The chief minister informed the Home Minister that after Dantewada, the government has plans to develop an education city, that will be spread across over 130 acres of land, in Sukma district with an aim to providing education to children.

He said that 6,000 students will be imparted education in this city.

Raman Singh also urged Rajnath to inaugurate the newly- built police headquarters, spread across 15 hectare area and constructed in over 16,500 square meters.

He said that the new police headquarters will be among the best police headquarters (PHQs) with state-of-the-art facilities.
