New Delhi: A 33-year-old woman was raped in Connaught Place in Delhi on Friday, according to Zee News.
As per the report, the victim is a businesswoman and was raped inside a hotel in Connught Place by her acquaintance.
Apparently, the Delhi-based woman met the accused over lunch at a hotel to discuss some business matter when the incident took place. It is also said that the woman had known the accused as she claimed that she met him a few times earlier in Chandigarh.
Another report from Times of India claims that the woman has claimed that man spiked her drink with sedatives after which he took her to a room in the inner circle of Connuaght Place, where he forced himself upon her.
The woman informed the police after she gained her consciousness.
The police registered her complaint and the accused was arrested from Chandigarh today.
