Haryana CM Hooda gets new Principal Secretary

Sudeep Singh Dhillon, a senior IAS officer, was appointed as the new Principal Secretary to Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda.

Chandigarh: Sudeep Singh Dhillon, a senior IAS officer, was on Friday appointed as the new Principal Secretary to Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda.

Dhillon has been appointed in place of Chattar Singh whose resignation from this post as well as from the post of chief coordinator of Investment Promotion Centre at New Delhi has been accepted today by the state government, an official spokesman said.

Chattar Singh retired as an IAS officer on March 31, but was given an extension of six months.

Dhillon was earlier serving as Additional Principal Secretary to Chief Minister and as Principal Secretary, Irrigation Department.

KK Khandelwal, Additional Principal Secretary to Chief Minister and Principal Secretary of Information, Public Relations and Languages Department, has been given the additional charge of Principal Secretary, Irrigation Department, the spokesman said.

The state government has also re-employed Samir Mathur, Additional Chief Secretary, Home, Jails, Criminal Investigation and Administration of Justice Department, for a period of three months, till November, after he attains the age of superannuation tomorrow.

He will continue to hold the same post and department for another three months, the spokesman said.
