Los Angeles, March 30: Rockers Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz silenced rumours that their marriage is in trouble by making a public display of affection during an appearance at MTV Australia Awards in Sydney.The young couple kissed on stage, with Wentz announcing "Sorry, we haven`t seen each other in a while.

We`re going to go and find some quiet time now." The "Boyfriend" singer who recently gave birth to couple`s first child looked svelte in a little black dress as she made a surprise appearance halfway through the show hosted by Wentz, the People magazine reported. Simpson told the cheering crowd, "I have been busy with some acting work going on and just being a mom" before instructing the crowd to "grab the person next to you." Making good on her own instruction, she and her beau exited the stage holding hands before returning minutes later to kiss passionately on stage. The couple then high-fived as they left the stage, and again held hands. The 29-year-old "Fall Out Boy" star had married Simpson last year in a fairy tale themed ceremony. Bureau Report
