BJYM prepares world's "largest" banner on Clean India Campaign

A poster with an area of 36000 sq ft, carrying hundreds of slogans promoting Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan', was unveiled by Chief Minister Raman Singh here on Monday.

Raipur: A poster with an area of 36000 sq ft, carrying hundreds of slogans promoting Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan', was unveiled by Chief Minister Raman Singh here on Monday.

"Chief Minister Raman Singh in the presence of BJYM national president Anurag Thakur, MPs and ministers unveiled the poster, which measures 36,000 sq ft and is 180 ft in width and 200 ft in length," BJYM state unit chief Anurag Singhdeo said.

Chhattisgarh unit of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) and Rungta Group of Institutions (RGI) have jointly developed the poster, bearing?photographs of all Prime Ministers of the country, including incumbent Narendra Modi, which they said is the "largest in world".

A team from Guinness World Records was present during the programme to verify the claims and register the same in the book, but an official announcement is awaited.

The aim of launching the biggest banner is to reach out to the entire nation, especially the youth of the country, to encourage them to contribute in the clean India campaign for a bright future, Singhdeo said.

"The message of the 'Clean India' campaign should percolate till the bottom of the society and youth can play a vital role in it. Not only a 100 hour in a year but they should spend more time to keep their surrounding, district and state clean," BYJM President Anurag Thakur said.

On the occasion, youth also took pledge to dedicate 100 hours in a year to maintain sanitation and cleanliness.

The banner was unveiled at Balbeer Singh Juneja indoor stadium at Budhapara.
