Accusing Prime Minister Narendra Modi of favouring capitalists, Congress on Sunday ridiculed his Mann ki Baat radio programme wherein the former addressed the issues of farmers.

New Delhi: Accusing Prime Minister Narendra Modi of favouring capitalists, Congress on Sunday ridiculed his Mann ki Baat radio programme wherein the former addressed the issues of farmers.

Speaking to ANI, Congress leader Randeep Surjewala said, “Mann ki Baat was a total fake and meant for the sake of capitalists only.”

Furthermore, senior Congress leader Ahmed Patel took to Twitter and wrote, “Today farmers are committing suicide and jawans being killed. But one year back PM candidate promised the moon to them. One year bck PM candidate promisd 50% MSP hike for farmers, but in Parliament govt rejects this.”

Taking a jibe at PM Modi's 'air conditioned remark' in Mann ki Baat, party's spokesperson Sanjay Jha said, “Farmer suicides rising, agriculture stress high, social sector allocations falling, but some preaching from an AC studio with a ready script.”

While addressing the nation, PM Modi had attacked Opposition by saying, 'people, who sit comfortably in air conditioned rooms, have no idea about the ground reality of villages.
