Congress to hold strategy committee meeting on Tuesday

The Congress will be holding a strategy committee meeting in the Parliament on Tuesday morning.

New Delhi: The Congress will be holding a strategy committee meeting in the Parliament on Tuesday morning.

Congress had earlier in the day appointed five new PCC chiefs and one regional Congress Committee president.

Apart from Ajay Maken, the other new PCC chiefs are: Ashok Chavan in Maharashtra, Ghulam Ahmed Mir in Jammu and Kashmir Bharatsinh Solanki in Gujarat and Uttam Reddy in Telangana, says reports.

According to sources, this move comes ahead of possible elevation of Rahul Gandhi as party president at the AICC session next month.

The Congress, which had ruled the national capital for 15 years up to 2013, failed to even open its account this time.
