Jaipur: In view of the JNU episode, The BJP government in Rajasthan is planning to promote 'nationalism' in educational institutes in the state.
“Have requested educational institutions to formulate syllabus in a way that helps promote nationalism,” Minister of State for Education V Devnani said.
The minister added that the decision is aimed at preventing a 'JNU like situation' in Rajasthan.
On the issue of the beef controversy at Mewar University, Devnani said, “It is important to follow norms in Universities, care must be taken that religious sentiments aren't hurt, so if beef was cooked there, its wrong.”
Four Kashmiri students of Mewar University were arrested following rumours that they had cooked beef in their college hostel room. They were released after questioning.
