Washington: Pakistan`s former envoy to the United States Husain Haqqani on Monday said Islamabad claims that India is violating ceasefire along the Line of Control (LoC), but evidences suggest that "all attempts to penetrate the LoC have originated from the Pakistani side".
"I think the Pakistani side claims that India is violating the ceasefire, but evidences suggest that all attempts to infiltrate the LoC have almost always emanated from the Pakistani side," Haqqani told ANI.
He stressed that Pakistan wants to change the status quo in Kashmir, but as far as India is concerned, she is happy with it.
"I do not think that any number of ceasefire violations is going to change the status quo. If Kargil couldn`t change the status quo, if the 1965 Operation Gibraltar couldn`t change the status quo, what will be achieved now? All we will see is a little more violence and incidents of terrorism that will not serve India, Pakistan or Kashmiris well," he added.
