New Delhi: RSS-affiliate Muslim Rashtriya Manch (MRM) has asked the madrassas in the country to hoist tricolour on Indian Republic Day.
According to a Times of India report, MRM is carrying out a nationwide campaign to persuade madrassas to unfurl Indian flag in the compound on January 26.
"The campaign has been named 'Jhanda Falani' and is being carried out throughout the country," UP co-ordinator of MRM Merajidhwaj Singh was quoted as saying by TOI.
However, Darul Uloom Deoband press secretary Maulana Ashraf Usmani has in return asked a question to MRM, "Does the RSS hoist the tricolour at its offices or its headquarters at Nagpur? Does the RSS' basic ideology believe in the national anthem?"
