Shaktiman's death: Here's how politicians reacted

Dehradun: The ill-fated, crippled horse of Uttarakhand Police, Shaktiman, succumbed to its sufferings on Wednesday and has left several questions behind for humanity.

Meanwhile, as the news of its death broke, several politician missed no opportunity to politicise the issue.

Here's what they said:

"An innocent animal died because of the state govt’s mistake and no proper treatment was given to it," said BJP leader Ajay Bhatt.

"Maneka Gandhi said action should be taken on MLA Ganesh Joshi, now onus is on BJP to take action," said Congress leader Kishore Upadhyay.

"Like Modi ji murdered democracy, a BJP MLA made fatal attack on Shaktimaan. Unfortunate," Congress leader Randeep Surjewala told ANI.
