24th batch with 2,076 pilgrims leave for Amarnath

Amid tight security, the 24th batch comprising 2,076 pilgrims on Saturday left for the Amarnath yatra from here, police said.

Jammu: Amid tight security, the 24th batch comprising 2,076 pilgrims on Saturday left for the Amarnath yatra from here, police said.
The pilgrims comprising 1,269 men, 478 women, 41 children and 288 sadhus left in a cavalcade of 68 vehicles from the Bhagwati Nagar base camp for the 13,500-feet-high cave shrine situated in south Kashmir Himalayas.
With today`s batch, a total of 67,267 pilgrims have left Jammu in 24 batches for their onward journey to the cave shrine.
