Civil Society launches Jammu for India movement

The BJP leader alleged the present dispensation in the state does not belong to the people and it has been formed by hijacking the mandate which people gave for upholding the national cause.

Jammu: Jammu Civil Society on Friday launched 'Jammu for India' movement and invited people to join the platform to ensure decisive defeat of forces which want to destroy the sovereignty of India and seal the fate of the province.

Former BJP leader and Convenor of Jammu for India Hari Om accused the PDP-BJP state government of propagating separatists' agenda in the state.

He alleged the present dispensation in the state does not belong to the people and it has been formed by hijacking the mandate which people gave for upholding the national cause.

He charged that events like the "assault" of outstation students at NIT, Srinagar, removal of bunkers from strategic locations in Kashmir, slapping of murder charge against army personnel and removal of army camps were examples of the "anti-national" approach of the present government.

He claimed that minority communities like Hindus, Sikhs and Buddhists, and the refugees from PoK and West Pakistan which form almost the 40 per cent population of the state were living like third rate citizens.
