Bengaluru: Three teenage school-going boys were stripped and then brutally beaten up by a group of men in Bengaluru for allegedly stealing money from a shop in the district.

The incident, which was recorded in a camera, is said to have taken place near Hoskote in city's rural district. The video went viral on Saturday.

In the video, a group of men is seen repeatedly thrashing three naked boys with a stick and chasing them all across a deserted area even as they cry out in pain.

After people's outcry, police registered a complaint in this regard and arrested four persons in connection.

Father of one of the victims spoke to media and said, "They beat them, accused them of stealing from the shop; there are bruises all over their body...After getting to know about the incident we took him to a hospital for treatment and then gave a complaint".

A relative of one of the victims said, "All the three boys are 8th standard students and were on Ramzan fast. They were picked by a group of men after school and were taken to a nearby deserted area to be tortured."

Parent of another victim claimed that the group of men, that also included a shopkeeper's son, also gave shock treatment to the boys.

Police said besides making four arrests in the case, they are on the lookout for some other men, including the shopkeeper’s son.

Families of the boys had earlier accused the police of inaction in the case.
