Case filed against Health & Family welfare Min Arv

A private complaint was on Monday filed before the Lokayukta court against Health and Family Welfare Minister Arvind Limbavali and 10 others for alleged violation of rules to favour a private builder `for pecuniary gain.`

Bangalore: A private complaint was on Monday filed before the Lokayukta court against Health and Family Welfare Minister Arvind Limbavali and 10 others for alleged violation of rules to favour a private builder `for pecuniary gain.`

Complainant N Nagaraj alleged that Limbavali as education minister in 2009 had favoured builder DLF putting up an unauthorised construction in Hulimavu area by directing Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (city corporation) to widen the road there in violation of the Revised Master Plan, 2015.

The letter was issued by Limbavali on October 21, 2009, in violation of Karnataka Town Planning Act and Karnataka Municipal Act to the firm for pecuniary gain, he alleged.

The other accused include former Commissioner of Bangalore Development Authority, Bharat Lal Meena, K M Shivakumar, former administrator BBMP, Laksmeesh, Executive Engineer BBMP and K P Singh, Chairman of DLF Company.

Judge N K Sudhindra Rao adjourned the matter for further hearing to October 31.
