Thiruvananthapuram: Two organisers of the ‘Kiss of love protest’ Resmi R Nair and her husband Rahul Pashupalan, were arrested by Kerala Police in connection with an online sex racket case on Tuesday.

Along with the couple, gangster Akbar was arrested in the state-wide raids conducted by the police.

According to a report published in 'Manorama online', the police made the arrest after getting a tipoff that sex rackets are being run via social networking websites.

While Resmi is a model, Rahul Pasupalan is an IT professional and short film maker.

'Kiss of Love' campaign was organised in 2014 to protest against moral policing.

Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), Bajrang Dal had strongly protested against the campaign.

In 2009, a similar incident had happened when a 'pink chaddi' campaign was started against Sri Ram Sene leader Pramod Muthalik following his threat to disrupt Valentine's Day celebrations.
