Upset with side berth, Shiv Sena lawmaker stops train for an hour
In an incident highlighting VVIP highhandedness yet again, the Devgiri Express train was delayed by almost an hour at Mumbai`s Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus just because Shiv Sena legislator Hemant Patil was unhappy with the side berth allocated to him.

Mumbai: In an incident highlighting VVIP highhandedness yet again, the Devgiri Express train was delayed by almost an hour at Mumbai`s Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus just because Shiv Sena legislator Hemant Patil was unhappy with the side berth allocated to him.
Central Railway sources have confirmed that the Secundrabad-bound train was delayed by 56 minutes after the Shiv Sena legislator from Nanded forcefully halted the train for being allotted a side berth on Wednesday.
According to reports, Patil did not allow Devgiri Express to depart till 10 p.m. by repeatedly pulling the chain after getting upset over the side berth being allotted to him.
The Railways has reportedly asked Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Assembly Speaker Haribhau Bagde to act against the Nanded MLA.
