Parveen Babi’s life to be reprised on screen again

Mumbai: Parveen Babi inspired many a filmmaker in Bollywood, but Hollywood also seems to have taken a cue this time round. According to reports, Hollywood filmmaker Reynolds Baines is all set to make an Indo-American production on the illustrious actress’ life. Titled ‘The Three Kings’, the film will be based on the actress and the various relationships she had during her lifespan. It will most probably revolve around Babi`s affairs with Mahesh Bhatt, Kabir Bedi and Amitabh Bachchan. Baines says he was drawn to Babi`s life because her "life and death were mysterious". Reality TV star Shikha Puri is said to be essaying Babi`s role in the film. Shikha is known for her appearances in reality shows such as ‘Sarkar Ki Duniya’, ‘Cash Cab’ and ‘Exhausted’. The rest of the cast is yet to be finalised. Babi`s life, that has always been an enigma, has been previously dealt with in films like ‘Woh Lamhe’ and ‘Phir Teri Kahani Yaad Aayi’, that were partly based on it. It is believed that Babi suffered from schizophrenia and had become a recluse due to her paranoia. She was found dead in her Mumbai apartment in 2005.
