Madurai: Comparing building a party to a battle field involving two armies, BJP leader LK Advani on Thursday said challenging the Congress` hegemony was one of the party`s biggest achievements.
Tracing the journey of BJP from the Jan Sangh days, he said it had become one of the top two recognised political parties in the country ensuring a bi-polar polity.

Tracing the journey of BJP from the Jan Sangh days, he said it had become one of the top two recognised political parties in the country ensuring a bi-polar polity.
On the yatras undertaken by him, he said they were efforts to promote "genuine secularism".
He said that if a country had to become a superpower, it could happen only with good governance, promoting welfare of weaker sections and ensuring all-round security.
