Los Angeles: Rachel Weisz is reportedly all set to portray former US first lady Jacqueline Kennedy in a movie directed by her fiance Darren Aronofsky.
The British actress would play the iconic woman in the biopic `Jackie` written by Noah Oppenheim, which follows the four-day period between President John F Kennedy`s assassination and burial in November 1963, Entertainment Weekly reported.
The project will be helmed by the 40-year-old star`s finance Aronofsky which would be their second collaboration following the 2006 movie `The Fountain`.
Jacqueline served as First Lady during Kennedy`s presidency from 1961 until his assassination in 1963 and was later married to Greek shipping magnate Aristotle Onassis from 1968 until his death in 1975. In later years she had a successful career as a book editor.
Weisz, who grabbed the Academy award for Best Supporting Actress Oscar for `The Constant Gardener` in 2005, will next be seen in thriller `Dream House` with Daniel Craig and Naomi Watts and western drama `Unbound Captives` alongside Robert Pattinson and Hugh Jackman.
She has reportedly been approached for a role in the upcoming 23rd James Bond movie, due for release in 2011.
