New Delhi, Jan 15: Union Cabinet meeting today did not discuss the issues of dates for a Parliament session to pass vote-on-account budget and dissolution of the Lok Sabha,
Parliamentary Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj today said.

"The truth is that no discussion on these took place in today's Union Cabinet meeting," she told reporters.

Pointing out the Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee
has asked Finance Minister Jaswant Singh to finalise a
vote-on-account, she said that Singh has conveyed that the
vote-on-account would not be ready before January 26.

Swaraj said once the vote-on-account got readied, she would speak to the presiding officers of Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha to decide on the dates for the session.

She took a dig at the media saying it has "already declared dates for the parliament session and even for dissolution of the house".
