Pan Parag's Kothari shuts Kanpur unit in wake of UP, Maharashtra ban

Mumbai, July 27: Kothari Products Ltd, manufacturers
of ‘Pan Parag’ pan masala and gutkha, has shut down its Kanpur
unit in wake of the sale of their products being banned in
Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh.

However, its manufacturing units in Zorhat (Assam) and
Baroda (Gujarat) would continue to manufacture the pan masala
and gutkha products, the company informed the Bombay Stock
Exchange today.
