New Delhi, Nov 26: Panthers Party chairman Bhim
Singh has urged Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee to take
"immediate, active and effective measures" to destroy the
militant training camps in Pakistan.
Singh, whose party is an ally in the J&K
coalition government, called on Vajpayee here last evening and
apprised him of the situation in the state, particularly after
the terrorist attack on Raghunath temple in Jammu on Sunday.
During the 40-minute meeting, he also urged Vajpayee to
send senior congress leader Karan Singh as the Governor of the
state, according to a party release issued here today.
The Panthers Party chief also urged the Prime Minister to
send a high-powered central government team to rural areas of
the state which have been badly affected by the drought, it
said.
