New Delhi, Nov 24: The Jammu and Kashmir Democratic
Forum today demanded setting up of an inquiry commission to
probe alleged misappropriation of funds by the previous
National Conference (NC) government.
JKDF president Bhushan Bazaz, in a statement here, said
an inquiry commission should be set up "to probe allegations
against ministers of the previous NC government and
bureaucrats about misappropriation of funds, economic
mismanagement and custodial killings in the state".
He said the commission should be asked to submit its
report within the shortest possible time.
Welcoming the initiatives taken by Chief Minister Mufti
Mohammad Sayeed, Bazaz said the new government should play a
representative role in resolving the Kashmir issue in
accordance with wishes of the people.
