Ayodhya, June 14: Three articles were found today during excavation work in the acquired land here today, sources said.
The articles included iron hairpin, glazed tile pieces in three trenches, they said.
It was learnt that the ASI team has handed over an application to judicial observers for permission of excavation around sanctum sanctorum of makeshift structure, and was awaiting permission from the court.
On the other hand, examination of articles found in excavation work, was in progress in Manas Bhawan by the ASI team under strict security arrangement.
It was learnt from the sources that articles found upto March 28 last were examined so far.
The court has allowed counsels and representatives of contesting parties to be present at the examination.
About 104 labourers including 40 Muslims were engaged in digging work today.
